Overview

The AKAM pickup truck bed folding jib crane is intended for installation in the cargo bed of pickup trucks or service vehicles and can be used in ground-support operations, mobile maintenance, equipment transport, and component handling. In the supplied image, the unit features a floor-bolted flanged base, a vertical column, a multi-position horizontal boom, a visible manual lifting mechanism / actuator, a safety hook, and a retaining chain. The main boom offers multiple adjustment positions, allowing the effective boom length and hook position to be changed. As boom reach increases, the rated load may change; therefore, the exact load chart for each position should be defined according to the final engineering design of AKAM TECHNIC. One of the key features of this model is its foldable configuration. When not in use, the boom assembly can be folded along the cargo bed so that it occupies less space and does not unnecessarily obstruct the normal use of the truck bed. The visible lifting mechanism at the boom base allows the operator to raise or lower the load. The safety hook is intended for connecting slings, straps, or other load-securing accessories.
