How AKAM TECHNIC collects, uses and protects your information
This policy explains what information AKAM TECHNIC collects through this website, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it. It applies to www.akamtechnic.com.
Information we collect
When you submit a product request, contact form, or newsletter subscription, we collect the information you provide directly — such as your name, organization, position, email, phone, country, city, and the content of your message or technical notes — along with your consent timestamp and IP address for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
How we use it
- To respond to product requests, proforma invoice requests, and general inquiries
- To route your request to the relevant internal team (sales, engineering, software, support, etc.)
- To send newsletter updates you have explicitly subscribed to
- To maintain internal records of correspondence and its status
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your information. It may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf — such as an email-delivery provider to send transactional and newsletter emails, and an object-storage provider to host uploaded attachments — solely to operate the website.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies: one to remember your preferred site language, and — for administrators only — one to maintain a signed-in session. If you add products to a request cart before submitting a product request, that selection is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and is not transmitted to us until you submit the form.
Retention
We retain submitted requests and messages for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your inquiry and maintain business records, or as required by applicable law. Newsletter subscribers are retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to future contact, by writing to info@akamtechnic.com. Every newsletter email also includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
