Overview
The AKAM mobile aircraft maintenance access platform with stairs is intended to create a relatively large, stable, and movable work area at a defined height around aircraft. In the supplied image, the unit features a mobile metal chassis, an elongated work platform, a wide integrated stairway, perimeter guardrails, and several industrial swivel castors. The front stairway provides direct technician access to the main platform. Anti-slip or gridded tread surfaces are visible on the steps, and handrails are provided on both sides of the ascent path. The upper deck also features a suitable work surface with full perimeter protection. The supporting frame beneath the platform is reinforced by vertical members and diagonal bracing, while several industrial castors support mobility. Brake levers are visible on some wheels and are intended to stabilize the unit once positioned. This type of mobile platform can be placed alongside the fuselage, wing, engine, or other aircraft service areas and provides sufficient space for personnel and light maintenance tools. Unlike the earlier AKA-1031 model, which incorporated a height-adjustment mechanism, no active lifting mechanism is visible in this configuration, so this product is better interpreted as a fixed-height mobile access platform with integrated stairs.
