Mobile Aircraft Maintenance Access Platform
The mobile aircraft maintenance access platform is a wheeled, height-adjustable unit designed to provide technicians with safe access to various aircraft fuselage and equipment areas. It features a mobile chassis, integrated stairway, elevated work platform, protective guardrails, and a visible lifting mechanism for inspection, servicing, and maintenance in hangars, on ramps, and in MRO facilities.

Overview
The AKAM mobile aircraft maintenance access platform is intended to provide an elevated, safe, and movable work surface around aircraft. In the supplied image, the unit features a wheeled metal chassis, an integrated stairway connected to the upper work platform, perimeter guardrails, and a lifting mechanism beneath the stair/platform assembly. A visible linear actuator / cylinder is located in the lower structure and appears to assist raising and lowering the stairway and work platform; however, the exact drive system must be confirmed from AKAM TECHNIC's final engineering drawing and datasheet. Two larger main wheels and smaller front wheels provide mobility, while a front tow bar is visible for controlled towing or relocation within hangar or ramp areas. The elevated platform has full guardrails, and sections of the stair access route also include side protection. This arrangement can support technician access to fuselage areas, panels, and external aircraft equipment during inspection and maintenance. Compared with the tall aircraft-tail access tower, this unit is more compact and mobile, making it more suitable for general access to multiple aircraft areas. Working height, platform capacity, lift system type, towing speed, height-locking system, and other performance specifications must be confirmed from AKAM's final engineering documentation.
Application
• Technician access to elevated aircraft fuselage areas • Inspection and maintenance of airframe and external equipment • Servicing panels and elevated access points • Supporting MRO operations • Providing a height-adjustable work platform • Use in line and scheduled aircraft maintenance • Moving between different work positions in hangars or on ramps • General aircraft access compared with taller fixed or tower-style platforms
